MEAM Microwave
Function
The Microwave can be used for applied research:
- Food preparation, regeneration of chilled or frozen prepared meals or meal components
- The drying of food components (primary, secondary and side streams)
- Exploring other applications in feed & food such as pasteurisation, tempering
Features
- Inputs are individually adjustable and controllable from the PLC controller
- A variable conveyor height system allows evaluation of material both from below and above for drying efficiency
- Active evacuation of (water) vapour and air extraction
- Heat recuperation via an integrated recirculation cooler, with a controlled airflow output to add additional warm air into the cavity

- Steam/steam injection combination, homogeneously distributed over the entire length with 3 inlets
- Temperature control via IR sensors
- Fire prevention system with alarm indication is built-in
- Layer thickness indication
- Moisture content monitoring
