This steam peeling line is designed for the efficient and high-quality peeling of potatoes, with a capacity of 65 tons per hour.
The process begins with an elevator belt that transports the potatoes to a weighing hopper equipped with a bypass valve. This system allows precise dosing while offering the flexibility to divert potatoes to a bypass bunker for "skin-on" applications, optimizing both product quality and processing efficiency.
The heart of the line is the Steam Peeler HSSP 2150, a high-performance system that efficiently removes potato skins using advanced technology. A double dosing screw ensures the potatoes are evenly and consistently fed into the peeler. This guarantees optimal throughput and consistent peeling quality.
After peeling, the potatoes are processed on the Herbort Inclining Brush Belt, which removes residual skins and polishes the potatoes for a smooth finish. The cleaned potatoes are then transported through a double washing screw with an integrated rotating water filter. This step ensures the potatoes are thoroughly cleaned with fresh water while waste is effectively separated.
The system includes a washing drum with an integrated water filter for enhanced cleaning of the potatoes. A second double washing screw, also equipped with rotating water filters, further ensures a clean product. These additional cleaning steps guarantee the highest standards of hygiene and product quality.
All water filters within the system are equipped with worm pumps that efficiently handle waste streams. This setup minimizes downtime by ensuring continuous operation and effective waste disposal. The integration of these features makes the line both sustainable and highly efficient.
